Pirates Set Training Camp For June 3rd

by Sports Information

CHARLESTON, SC -- The Charleston Pirates made major strides in finalizing their 2025 roster this past weekend, officially signing 20 new players to the team. With training camp on the horizon, the Pirates coaching staff and front office worked swiftly to secure top-tier talent in preparation for the upcoming National Gridiron League season.

Originally scheduled to begin earlier, the team announced that training camp will officially start on Tuesday, June 3rd. This adjustment comes in response to the large influx of player signings, allowing additional time for team officials to coordinate player travel, housing, and other key logistics necessary for a successful start to camp.

“Anytime you bring in a significant group of athletes this close to camp, it’s critical that we take the time to prepare on and off the field properly,” said Pirates Head Coach. “Our goal is to set these guys up for success from day one.”

The Pirates are focused on building a competitive roster representing Charleston with pride and toughness. With training camp just weeks away, fans can expect an exciting and intense atmosphere as the team gets to work.

The Pirates had been struggling a little more than other teams in the league to secure top-level talent, but that trend seems to have ended in the past two weeks.
