Pirates Add Number 1 WR in Martin
West Alabama WR Tyriq Martin versus Shorter University
CHARLESTON, SC-- The Charleston Pirates have reached a two-year agreement with former West Alabama wide receiver Tyriq Martin. The Pirates pursued the former UWA Tiger for months until the two parties could agree to a deal.
Standing at 6 foot and 3 inches Martin will provide the Pirates with a matchup nightmare on the offensive perimeter. During his collegiate career, Martin amassed an astounding 152 receptions, 2,137 receiving yards, and 22 touchdowns. With his accomplished collegiate career, Martin would garner serious 2022 NFL Draft interest but, unfortunately, was not selected during the league's annual draft.
The Pirates will kick off the 2023 season at home versus the Atlanta Wildcats. Single-game tickets are not on sale, but Pirates Season Tickets are on sale with prices starting at only $200 for an affordable per-game average of $22 per ticket.
